It has been 1 week since I posted the first post on my case study on the effectiveness of homepage backlink from HighPRSociety.  The first week has been quite promising in terms of SERP & traffic.

I purchased 3 x PR 4 homepage links from HighPRSociety, as you can see since they went live on 2nd January I have seen an increase in both SERP and traffic for my keyword and webpage.

I have received 24 visits last week for my selected keyword, an increase of 20%.  I saw a bigger jump with other keywords that I was not even targeting.  Either way it is good, as they are all bringing targeted visitors to my page.

Perhaps the Google Keyword Tool was inaccurate in the estimated 500 exact searches per month.  Then again I still am only at position 4-5 so at the moment I’m losing out on most of the traffic to the top 3.

Each PR 4 link has cost me $8 per month.  So my total expenditure on these homepage backlinks for website 1 is $24.

If you put that in perspective with other monthly link building services for around the same price I think this is very good value for money.  $24 wouldn’t get you a lot anywhere else, and certainly not something that would likely boost you up 2-3 places for a low/medium difficulty keyword.

Also this is just 1 week into the case study.  I still have 3 more weeks to see what my $24 investment does.

I purchased 6 x PR 3 homepage links from HighPRSociety, the same price as 3 x PR 4 links, and as you can see by the chart above I have been dancing around all week.  Jumping up to position 9 yesterday, and at the end of the first week I have finished at #10.  An increase of 2 positions isn’t too bad for the first week.

I think I may have been better off to purchase 3 x PR 4 backlinks instead of 6 x PR 3’s.  I thought I would try it to see if it had a better impact instead of just 3 x PR 4’s like on website 1.  I think my competition probably has PR 3 links too, PR 4 may be harder to attain for my competition and could make a bigger difference.

As noted for website 1, this is only week 1 and I have another 3 weeks to see what my $24 investment will bring me.  I think in my second month I will try 3 x PR 4 links.
