What Are Your Goals For 2012?
I think its important to always evaluate your situation and goals be it in life or in Internet Marketing, its very easy to let the days slip past without giving much thought on how you are progressing. We all get caught up in the day-to-day monotony of our lives and before we know it, its Christmas again.
I would like to hear what goals you guys and girls have set for yourself in the new year. Be it big or small, its very important to set some sort of goals or a plan. I want to make the most of my time and if I’m being honest, I have been a bit slack this year. Spending too much time playing Battlefield 3 and perhaps spending a little too much money on outsourcing my content creation. This site is a goal in itself. It will be the first time I have created a site and continued to run it entirely on my own content. I want to try to prove to myself that I am able to write content and generate traffic and revenue myself. So the case study that I am running as part of this site is very important to me next year.
Using the S.M.A.R.T. mnemonic below I have come up with my 2012 goals.
[note]S – Specific (or Significant).
M – Measurable (or Meaningful).
A – Attainable (or Action-Oriented).
R – Relevant (or Rewarding).
T – Time-bound (or Trackable).[/note]
Goal 1
Successfully complete my case study for this blog, read more about it here.
1000 visitors per day, $1 Revenue per day
Goal 2
Create 3 niche sites – 20 pages of quality content for each site (content to be outsourced).
$1 per day via Adsense.
Get at least 1 website ranked in top 10 of google for main keywords.
Goal 3
Create 3 Amazon review sites based on specific products.
Get at least 1 website ranked in top 10 of google for main keywords.
3 Sales per month.
Goal 4
Get 100 sign ups to my newsletter for this blog (I constantly read ‘the money is in the list’, so I think it’s time to see if it is true).
And there we have it, there are my 4 goals for 2012. I hope to hear your own goals in the comments below.
