Are you confused as to when you should post to twitter? Do you want to know when the highest percentage of your followers are online during the week?

I don’t believe every business needs to be on social media but for those who do I’m going to share with you a very handy tip that will take out the guessing work of when you should be posting on twitter for maximum engagement.

There are a few ways that we can go about doing it, one is to sign up to twitter ads account and then export the data and analyse it in a spreadsheet, this is a slightly long-winded approach. The alternative, quicker approach is to sign up to SocialBro and let them do it for you.

If you haven’t come across Social Bro before its an amazing free tool for twitter user. It allows you to analyse and manage your twitter accounts through various different options. I’m not going to explain the features in detail, just head over to their website to check them out.

One of the most useful reports SocialBro can generate is a ‘best time to post’ report. This will give you an overview of when the highest percentage of your followers are online during the week.

As you can see from the screenshot from my own account, weekends and early morning are typically not a good time to post as less than 9% of my followers are online.

With this data you can then schedule your posts around these times to get maximum engagement. SocialBro also allow you to export this schedule to Buffer and Hootsuite to customize your posting schedule on these platforms too.

You can manage up to 2 twitter accounts and 5000 followers on the SocialBro free account. If you have larger accounts then you’ll need to upgrade to a premium account. Sign up to SocialBro here.
